The bottom floor has one ascending portal and one Altar. Higher floors have two identical portals and one Altar. On a revisit, portal directions are revealed. Green chambers are Sanctuaries: enemies cannot enter, but hunters wait and resume pursuit when you leave. Enemy portals appear every 30 seconds on a first visit, 15 seconds on a second visit, and 5 seconds from the third visit onward. Skeletons and Ghosts wander until they see you, then hunt permanently. Contact with a Skeleton starts a quick simultaneous battle; press CLASH to roll each exchange, then CONTINUE after reviewing the result. A cloak lets you slip past instead, costing one durability. The Eye's rotating gaze passes through walls; if it spots you, every mobile enemy begins hunting. The maze also shifts: corridors close and different corridors open after a five-second warning.
